DIG IT were contracted to demolish this large two storey brick and concrete house and prepare the site ready for a new residential development. We also demolished a three storey garage & granny flat and large concrete swimming pool that was on site. Before any of this work could be carried out, we had to contiguous pile the boundary under a street-front retaining wall. This wall was essentially holding up the public footpath and street. Large steel columns were then installed through the piles, connecting to the retaining wall and providing the support it needed. 

We then bulk excavated approximately 1000m3 of sand to a depth of 5 metres below street level, ready for a new basement that would house a large rumpus room.
