Heavy Vehicle Safety Campaign
Did you know?

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is fast-tracking an education campaign and releasing a range of safety tools to assist heavy vehicle operators implement Safety Management Systems and meet new Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws, which will be introduced mid-2018?

The push to provide operators with practical tools and guidance is in response to a spate of serious heavy vehicle crashes that occurred in January this year.

The new laws require the entire heavy vehicle supply chain to take responsibility for heavy vehicle safety - something which all of us here at DIG IT are in full support of.

January saw us begin a project alongside HSN Construction, over on Hastings Parade in North Bondi.

The project has involved the removal of hazardous material from the site, the demolition of existing buildings, which took approximately four weeks, as well as bulk and detailed excavation works taking around 10 weeks. The excavation work is in preparation for a new build of three residential units with basement parking and a swimming pool to the rear.
Machinery required on the job:

- 8t Excavator and attachments
- 3.5t Excavator and attachments
- Posi track / Bobcat
- Truck & trailers
